Diane is a graduate of the University of New Haven. There she received her bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene as well as her certification to provide local anesthesia. Diane loves dental hygiene because it's a profession that enables her to establish trusting relationships. Diane enjoys educating her patients on dental care. When she is not inspecting the smiles of her patients, Diane spends time with her family and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities and baking. If Diane happens to be your hygienist, ask her about her seashell collection!
'Tina" received her undergraduate degree in communications sciences from the University of Connecticut. After graduation, Christina's fascination with science drew her towards dental hygiene school. She received her associate's degree in dental hygiene from Tunxis Community College. While at Tunxis, Chistina served as the secretary of the SADHA (Student American Dental Hygiene Association) and was awarded the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award for outstanding clinical skills. Christina is also licensed to provide dental anesthesia. In school Christina was always interested in the sciences. Anatomy, physiology and biology were particularly fascinating to her because they helped her understand how and why the human body functions. Being a dental hygienist allows Christina to share her knowledge and excitement about these topics by educating patients and improving their oral hygiene. In her free time, she loves to take her dog, Kaya, swimming at the beach.
If you're working with Alicia, you couldn't be taken care of with better hands. A dean's list student throughout dental hygiene school, Alicia has been practicing dental hygiene for more than 28 years. Alicia is a sociable and outgoing staff member. She resides in Hamden with her husband, two daughters and two dogs. In her free time she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
If you have Deirdra as your hygienist, you will immediately feel comforted by her gentle and warm-hearted personality. As a young child, Deirdra had a fear of the dentist. Perhaps that is why she does what she does. Deirdra loves making personal connections with her patients and reassuring them that a trip to the dentist can actually be enjoyable! It is important to Deirdra that she never has a patient who is afraid of the dentist like she once was. Deirdra earned her dental hygiene degree from the University of New Haven. She enjoys volunteering at the annual Ct Mission of Mercy and artistic hobbies such as scrap-booking, cooking, and knitting.
Liz is our insurance and financial coordinator. She has been an integral part of our practice for 15 years. Liz enjoys cooking, shopping and spending time with her family.
Carola is our front desk receptionist. She & her husband Jack grew up in Rockland County, NY. Jack recently retired from the United States Marine Corps after serving our nation for 31years. Carola has continued to work in the dental industry throughout their many moves. In her free time, Carola enjoys reading and time spent at the beach playing sports with her family. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and playing ball with her Bichon Frise, Jeter, who has also enjoyed an extensive amount of travel. Carola will be happy to assist you with your appointment needs.
The dental assistant is the person who works closely with your dentist and knows your dentist the best. Our assistants perform a multitude of tasks, from providing patient care to taking x-rays. They greatly increase the efficiency of our dentists in the delivery of quality oral health care and are valuable members of our clinical team.
Meribeth has served the town of North Haven as a dental assistant for more than 15 years. "Kindness makes you the most beautiful person in the world. No matter what you look like" are words Meribeth lives by. The aspect of her job that she enjoys most is talking with her patients and making their visit as pleasant as possible. Apart from assisting, Meribeth enjoys a variety of activities from exercising to collecting quotes. She spends her free time with her family and their two rescue pets; a cat named Sandy and dog named Izabelle.
Patti plays an essential role at our office. She is not only a dental assistant , but an office coordinator as well. Along with scheduling appointments, making financial arrangements, handling equipment orders and answering phones, Patti assists Dr. Ted and Dr. Joe in taking care of patients. Before getting her certification in dental assisting and radiography from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), Patti graduated from CCSU with a degree in accounting and finance. Since finishing both degrees, she has taken several courses in medical billing for dental practices. Patti has more than 20 years experience in the dental industry. Patti considers herself an assistant to both the dentist and the patient. She loves to assist her patients in feeling comfortable in the chair while helping facilitate our doctors in providing the best possible treatment. Outside of work, Patti is a proud mother; serving as the vice president and head coach of her daughter's youth cheer-leading team. She has coached her team to several competitions in which they took first place; earning them the opportunity to compete at a national level.
